Citronella oil is extracted from the leaves of the citronella plants (botanical name- Cymbopogon nardus) native to Sri Lanka through steam distillation. Day-to-Day Uses of Citronella Essential Oil (Ceylon)
Add 3-4 drops of citronella oil (Ceylon) in water and diffuse it for aroma, mosquito repel, and a sense of focus. Its aroma soothes the mind and body, relieving them from daily stressful thoughts.
Blend 2 drops of citronella, carnation, and peppermint essential oils each and diffuse them to alleviate respiratory issues such as congestion, sinus, bronchitis, irritation of the throat, and infection.
Add 1-2 drops of citronella oil to face wash or shower gel and protect your face or body from sun damage.
Dilute 1 drop of citronella essential oil (Ceylon) and 10 ml aloe vera oil and apply it to your face every night.
